The Gîte

At a heart of a closed and landscaped garden of 3000 m2, with a fantastic view on the Albères massif and Canigou mountains, this beautiful villa designed by an architect benefits from a magnificent luminosity thanks to its orientation facing south.

 
The garden

The park, leaned in the massif of Les Albères benefits from a magnificent view, inviting to rest. The mediterranean tree species in it (evergreen oaks, palm and olive trees, mimosas...) strengthen the quiet of places. The large (9 by 4 m) and private swimming pool, shared with the owners, will keep you cool during the summer.

Inside the house

Be sure that we are doing our best to ensure your well-being and peaceful rest in our home ; that is the reason why we offer a gîte for only 2 guests.
The gîte is composed of a private entrance, a vaste living room decorated with elegance and style (leather couch), air-conditioned, modern audio-visual equipment (flat-screen TV, wi-fi connection, sound system).
A large open fitted kitchen with granite countertop, oven, microwave, induction heating plate, dishwasher and washing machine.
A bright and spacious bedroom to the south with 2 twin beds of 90 cm each, double sliding doors, privative terrace with patio furniture and BBQ facilities.
Fantastic view on Les Albères mountains and the swimming pool. Large private bathroom with the view of the garden and separate toilet. Outdoor shower.
There is a free, private car park on site.

The village

Laroque-des-Albères  is a pleasant fortified village with the specific charm of old catalonians villages and rich cultural heritage. The village,accessible by foot, is often called the balcony of Catalonia and Vermillion coast because of its outstanding position on the spur of the Albères mountain range, far away from traffic and very near beaches (Collioure or Argelès-sur-Mer) and Spain (Cadaquès etc.).

Hiking and cycling

The Albères mountains is one of the most beautiful botanic and ecological reserve and the starting point of nices hiking trails (GR 10). Situated at an altitude of 1256 meters, the "Pic Neoulous", on top of the Albères, is overlooking Laroque-des-Albères.

There's something for all hikers ! You can either start from the gîte or the village with various levels of difficulty : easy (less than 3 hours), average (4 hours), advanced level (more than 7 hours)
